Swan from Contemplation to Consumption
Join The Backyard Sportsman, Hovey Smith, as he goes on a solo hunt for America’s largest waterfowl in North Carolina. After explaining why these swan are hunted, Hovey goes after them with an 1842 75-caliber British musket loaded with non-toxic shot. After breaking ice for three days in three locations, he moves to public blinds on the Outer Banks, calls in and takes a trophy swan with a single shot. He returns to Georgia, cleans his swan and provides cooking instructions.
